Caringbah High School Mural

Phibs paints 3 epic walls at Caringbah High School

Late in 2018, we teamed up with PHIBS and Caringbah High School to create an exciting artwork for students and the school community. The Wall Station hosted art workshops, an artist talk and mural painting days with students – led by street artist PHIBS.

The mural brief was to celebrate land elements from the local area over 3 large walls at the school.

PHIBS chose the school emblem the Banksia, and animals such as a beetle, gecko and kookaburra for the design. PHIBS’ distinctive street art style signifies the symbiotic, engaging the urban with the organic. He produces works across a vast variety of mediums and consistently reflects his own unique realms of symbolism, multiculturalism and mythology. Largely inspired by nature, his works have spawned a menagerie of signature characters.

Students worked over several days, alongside the artist on this giant wall - getting hands on with brush work and details. The artists completed the mural with aerosol outlines and spray gun colours.
