School Mural and Workshops

The highly sought after street artist – Oxking –  who recently returned from a stint working overseas, teamed up with students at St Patrick’s College in Strathfield for a mural workshop, painting day and mural installation. Students learnt about the artists vocational journey and got hands on in mural painting skills workshops.

Oxking taught students mural painting techniques such as paint brush control, line work, spray paint skills and the steps that he undertakes to “put a mural together”. Even the Visual Arts Coordinator jumped in to try out spray paint skills, it was a fantastic day for everyone involved.

The Wall Station is leading the way in creative process management, artwork design and application of murals, big and small. There’s so much more to creating a mural than just securing a wall and an artist. The Wall Station regularly works with schools around Greater Sydney to organise mural painting workshops and murals at schools. We are experienced in working with primary schools, high schools and special needs schools.

Murals have a powerful impact on the spaces that we live, study and work in. All of our artists have Working With Children Checks and Public Liability Insurance and we undertake rigorous Risk Assessment and Safe Work processes. The Wall Station can connect you with credible and popular street artists and muralists, and deliver safe and successful artwork shops and mural painting days.

If you would like to discuss having one of our artists visit your school, please contact Jacinta on 0422 033 055 or info@thewallstation.com.
