The Wall Station creates inspiring public art, urban murals and street art workshops that capture and celebrate the visual narrative of the communities and clients that we work with.

Community Engagement Programs

  • Small Walls

The Small Walls project refreshed and improved 11 businesses and 15 walls in the Newcastle CBD, beautifying over 400 square metres of wall space for businesses who were currently, or had recently, experienced vandalism on their properties.

  • School Murals

When students work with our artists as part of a team, when they learn new skills, build self-esteem and gain a huge sense of achievement – the benefits of our school mural painting programs extend much further than the bricks they are painting on.

  • Surface Festival

Over one weekend, 4 – 6 March 2022, 35 urban artists transformed the built environment of Braddon, Civic and the National Triangle in Canberra.

What We Do

  • We’re experts in planning and delivering site specific art works that bring communal spaces to life. Whether you are a home owner, small business, major retail centre or state government – our team of creatives will work with you to build a beautiful, bold and meaningful art installation.

  • From major retail centres, global hotel chains or public institutions – we are adept at identifying the right creative practitioners for both small and large corporate refurbishment. Our agile team can respond to tight or shifting deadlines for complex projects.

  • Ensuring that we actively help pave the way for tomorrow’s artists is at the very core of our business ethos. Schools can expect to work with leading artists who are invested in sharing skills, talking about their own journeys and helping students to build confidence through teamwork and creativity.

  • Connect your brand with urban culture. The Wall Station produces large-scale mural festivals with a healthy dose of workshops, events, talks and music performances on the side. Our team has unique experience in working across commercial, creative content, partnerships and campaign execution to deliver a one of a kind event.

  • Curation, bump in, installation and bump out. We love pop-up exhibitions and excel at turning unique spaces into thriving exhibitions. Let us help you reimagine your spaces.

  • Public art and street art have been proven to reduce the prevalence of graffiti and tagging. Research has shown that would-be vandals are less likely to graffiti private property if they respect existing artwork on the property. Our strong relationships with trusted street artists and muralists enable us to deliver robust murals with universally respected artists whose works deter tagging and graffiti.

  • This is perhaps our most passionate area of work. We believe that creativity helps build self esteem, connects youth at risk with critical services and strengthens their feelings of self worth. We take pride in delivering these important programs that make a real difference to young people’s lives.

  • Our work with Youth, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Peoples, CALD, Disability, LGBTQIA+, Women, Refugees, Aging, Remote & Rural, and Culturally Diverse Groups is extensive. We connect with and empower people from all walks of life with access to creative programs.
