Albury City Council Temporary Mural Installation
Albury City Council commissioned one of our stencil artists, Poncho Army, to create a 25 metre temporary mural on hoarding walls, as part of the 10 million dollar refurbishment of their regional art gallery – the Murray Art Museum Albury – otherwise known as MAMA.
The creative brief required that the design needed to appeal to young and old, be loud and bright, fun and whimsical, or just something super-cool that will make people in Albury want to get their smartphones out. Poncho Army involved a number of local artists to assist her with this epic commission.
The bold and fun wall was the perfect distraction from noisy building works on the main street of Albury and helped keep residents and businesses smiling during the lengthy construction period.
